What's your
Party Muscle?

It's whatever you bring to a room that makes the night better. The friend who starts the dance floor. The one who knows every word. The person who talks everybody into staying one more hour. Everyone's got one. These two found theirs behind a pair of decks.
Artist Bio
They didn't start
behind a booth.
Party Muscle is Donovan and Morgan — a husband-and-wife duo who both came up performing, just in very different rooms. Donovan fronted bands through the 2000s, singing lead in Evongale and Bang Bang Dead. Morgan worked as a theater actress, learning the same craft from the other side of the curtain.
Evongale's EP landed in 2006 and picked up real traction. Two decades of writing and performing followed. Then, in 2021, house music got its hooks in and didn't let go. By January of 2024 the DJ thing had stopped being a curiosity — it was the job, and it was something they did together.
What comes out now is deliberately hard to file. Deep house easing a room open, dirty tech house bleeding into dirty techno. Bass house turning into drum & bass without asking permission. Melodic techno when the night wants to stretch out, dubstep once a room has earned it, and electro pop with the edges left sharp. Underneath all of it: two performers who spent twenty years learning how tension gets built and exactly when to let it go.
Two stages. Twenty years. One booth.

The Road Here

Twenty years,
one throughline

2000s
Two stages
Donovan fronting bands like Evongale and Bang Bang Dead. Morgan on stage in theater. The same lesson, learned in two very different rooms.
2006

First real traction

Evongale's EP drops and finds an audience beyond the local circuit. Proof the songwriting was landing.

2021

House music lands

Dirty tech house and dirty techno take over the listening, then the writing. A different way to build the same tension.
Jan 2024

Into the booth

Full commitment to DJing. Not a side project, not a phase — the whole focus, and a stage they finally shared.
2025

Party Muscle on record

“Freak of the Opera” and “I Belong” arrive — one remix that shouldn't work and one original with their own vocals on the front of it.

The Party Muscle process

How a track gets from a vocal idea to something that works at 1am on a real system.
